There was a hung jury consisting of Saint Peter and some angels, as the newest arrival to the gates of Heaven waited on a verdict to see if he would be allowed in. He’d been a thief, which might have settled it easily enough, if not for the added twist that had complicated the matter. And what was the twist? Heaven forbid … or not …………………………… he’d stolen a bible.
